Dakota Micro, Inc.
In 1994, farmer Dave Rubey developed a herniated disk in his neck and had to have a cervical fusion. For eight weeks he was stuck wearing a full neck brace. Without being able to turn his head, harvesting crops seemed an impossible challenge.
Desperate for a solution, Dave searched for a camera system that could take the abuse of farming. His search failed, but led him to use his engineering and electronics knowledge to build the AgCam. Dakota Micro incorporated in 2002 and has since grown to multiple product lines to provide the most rugged camera systems on the market.
